Standard TFT LCD

A TFT LCD Module is a type of liquid-crystal display (LCD) using thin-film-transistor (TFT) technology to improve image qualities such as addressability and contrast.

IPS (In-Plane Switching) TFT LCD display modules has same basic structure as traditional TFT but it offer wide viewing angle and quicker response time.
For a regular TFT, view angle is fixed and image can get blurriness of viewed from wider or different angle. In IPS TFT LCD, same image can be viewed from different angles without blurriness.


TFT LCD with MCU Parallel Interface

MCU interface consist of two types of signals: data signals (4/8/9/16 bits) and control signals. The data signals are connected to the LCD data bus and sends RGB signals over 8, 9, 16 or 18-bit data lines. The control signals are used to define the operation type (read or write), data to internal memory.
Since Parallel MCU can store memory in its’ internal frame, it is a good option for displaying images. The MCU interface is a simpler interface to command but it need RAM.
It is used in Monochrome character and graphic LCD and well as TFT.

UART HMI Interface

UART stands for Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter; it is a block of circuitry responsible for implementing serial communication. Basically, UART system device transmits data between serial and parallel interfaces. It allows users to control high performance TFT displays from low-end systems.


HDMI Interface TFT LCD

HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is a connector and cable definition that supports high-quality and high-bandwidth streams of uncompressed video data and compressed or uncompressed digital audio data between devices.

AD Board

LCD Controller Board (AD Board)

An AD board is a TFT LCD controller board which act as an interface between the TFT LCD and PC systems, the AD board transfers the image created from the PC to the TFT screen.
AD Board works with input connections such as VGA, HDMI, DVI or DP (Display Port).
