Nuvoton – KLC434FL01WW Violet Laser Diode: Nuvoton Technology Corporation Japan has been developing and producing laser diodes for more than four decades and, based on its own design, process and epitaxy technology, has built up a broad portfolio of UV to IR lasers for industrial applications.
This expertise in GaN- and GaAs-based high-power laser diodes forms the basis for the current solutions, which are positioned as modern, mercury-free alternatives to conventional Hg lamps.
KLC434FL01WW Violet Laser Diode – Brief Overview
The new KLC434FL01WW is a violet high-power laser diode with 402 nm and 4.5 W in a 9 mm TO-9 CAN package which, according to Nuvoton, achieves industry-leading optical output power and approximately 1.5 times the optical power compared to the previous 402 nm model KLC432FL01WW, thus significantly increasing throughput in maskless lithography systems. With its wavelength close to the mercury h-line (405 nm), it complements the already available 379 nm UV laser diode KLC330FL01WW – which we recently presented to you here – to form a coherent portfolio.
Applications range from Hg-lamp replacement solutions for maskless lithography and resin curing through to industrial 3D printing.
