SPARK Microsystems – SR1120 UWB Transceiver: With the SR1120, SPARK is expanding its UWB transceiver range.
SPARK Microsystems, founded in Canada in 2016, is demonstrating its innovative strength with the market launch of the SRM1120. In addition to the expansion of software support, this new hardware in the SR1100 series now offers a doubling of the symbol rate to 40.96 MHz.
With the second generation of UWB transceivers, SPARK has increased the possible data throughput to 41 Mbps. Thanks to the technology developed in-house, energy efficiency remains at the best level with exceptional low latency values (23µs airtime for 1kbit).
The SR1120 utilises the UWB band between 6.0 and 9.3 GHz and enables symbol rates of 20.48 MHz, 27.13 MHz and 40.96 MHz. Coexistence with Bluetooth LE and Wifi is guaranteed for 2.4 GHz, 5 & 6 GHz as well as cellular.
The transceivers are specified for use between -40°C and +85°C. The power supply can be 1.8V or 3.3V.
