Our innovative portfolio of highly integrated thermocouple conditioning IC solutions simplifies your development and speeds up your product’s time to market.  These devices integrate a precision high-resolution Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC), a precision high-accuracy temperature sensor (for cold junction compensation) and precision instrumentation that corrects the thermocouple non-linear error characteristics of eight of the most popular thermocouple types used today. An on-board, preprogrammed math engine enables these ICs to accurately measure temperature through real-time non-linearity thermocouple corrections up to a ninth order equation.

MCP9600 Thermocouple Converter


The  MCP9600 is a fully integrated thermocouple  Electromotive Force (EMF) to degree Celsius converter with integrated Cold-Junction compensation. The MCP9600 supports 8 thermocouple types (K, J, T, N, S, E, B and R). The MCP9600 provides user-programmable registers, adding design flexibility for various temperature sensing applications. The registers allow user-selectable settings, such as low-power modes for battery-powered applications, an adjustable digital filter for fast transient temperatures and four individually programmable temperature alert outputs, which can be used to detect multiple temperature zones.
