Automotive EEPROMs

Microchip is a leading supplier of Serial EEPROM devices offering a broad range of products in 1kb to 256kb densities for Automotive, and up to 2Mb for industrial applications. Microchip‘s Automotive grade products are ISO/TS16949 certified and supported by full PPAP documentation. They offer ultra-low power and low-voltage products in a full line of 2-wire (I2C), SPI and 3-wire (µWire) interfaces in small-size SOIC and TSSOP packages.

Automotive CAN/VAN Networking

Microchip offers a wide range of solutions for CAN networking, including AVR 8-bit RISC microcontrollers and transceivers ready to go with data-rates up to 5Mbit/s supporting the new CAN Flexible Datarate standard (CAN FD). Microchip Flash-based microcontrollers are compliant with v2.0A and v2.0B of the CAN protocol, and offer flexible in-system programming capabilities.

Automotive Drivers/High-Temperature ICs

The Microchip motor driver family targets brushed and brushless DC motors that operate in standard temperature or more demanding hot engine environments. A wide variety of combinations integrate high-side and low-side output stages so you can easily tailor solutions to suit your customers' needs.

Their driver portfolio includes ICs for small DC motors controlled directly from the output stages, as well as motor driver system basis chips, with integrated gate drivers or pre-drivers to control separate NMOSFETs of almost any size.

Automotive LIN Networking

The modular Microchip LIN family ranges from simple transceiver ICs to complex system basis chips with LIN transceiver and voltage regulator. At higher integration levels, the Microchip System-in-Package (SIP) solutions feature an Microchip AVR® microcontroller, LIN transceiver, voltage regulator and watchdog in a single package.

Microchip’s ATA6632, ATA6633 and ATA6634 series are the latest additions to the portfolio. The devices in these series are the industry’s first to comply with the new original equipment manufacturer (OEM) hardware recommendations and provide scalable functionality to improve the overall system cost. The ICs support the latest standards including the LIN 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 2.2A and SAEJ2602-2 and are qualified according to AEC Q100. The ATA6632/33/34 series of devices also provide a family footprint so designers can upgrade their designs with various devices within these series.
